tracing
curved lines
from silky tops
to the softest hidden spot
just below the chin
bright eyes
reflect joy
sparkle
with smiles
that spread
between chubby cheeks
freckled with
sun and dirt
rosebud
kisses
and lashes
that could paint a house
no hard edges
sharp lines
or angles
only soft
round
curves
babies
for now
my babies
These photos are in response to the prompt MACRO (get up close and see the details!) from the weekly You Capture challenge over at I Should Be Folding the Laundry. I've enjoyed checking out the links and photos each week, and this is my first week linking up myself. Click on the link below to see more of You Capture.

...loving your header :)
We're on the same page about these soft-edged babies of ours. :-)
(p.s. I like what you did with your header too!)
They're adorable! The clarity of your little ones blue eyes is amazing!
Beautiful images (and your photos are great too!) ;) I absolutely adore your way with words. I complete traced my own baby with each line of your poetry. Great captures this week.
We must be traveling circles around each other in the blogosphere...I, too, recently found the You Capture challenge @ I Should Be Folding the Laundry...and also came quite close to participating for the first time this week! Props to you for actually doing it!
Aww, your boys are so beautiful! Lovely shots!! =)
Lovely captures! I really love the first picture and the profile shots are adorable too. :)
Your words and photos are beautiful. I especially love the first and last photos. Hands and serene profiles always grab my heart. Thanks for sharing.
lovely poem and what lovely photos.
Thanks for sharing!
How sweet my friend, and I adore that the close ups pics of the boys have dirty faces--everytime we take gorgeous close ups of our boys faces they are ALWAYS dirty, and it just brings a smile to my face (and makes them that much more adorable!) I love seeing the onesie top on Axel and am so glad that it's you who is enjoying it.
Love it!! Kids are just so much fun!
